Multiflora Rose removal at Fredericton Botanic Garden

Five Rotarians, two root extractors, one spade, one pick-axe, one ATV/winch and one camera were needed for removal of invasive multi-flora rose bushes along the Creek-side Trail at the Fredericton Botanic Garden.  The thick thickets and huge plants (one with a runner of over 12 metres!) are now gone.

Multiflora rose is a tenacious plant with multiple means of staying around for a long time so we know we'll need to be back but for now we're happy to have had success.
