Author of "I am Woman, Born of Woman"

Lemlem Adanech Handame (pen name)  is an Ethiopian-Canadian author and international development professional based in Fredericton. Her debut memoir, I Am a Woman Born of Woman: Reclaiming the Power Patriarchy Stole, launched on July 23, 2026. Proceeds from the book fund the Adanech Library at Shelela School in Ethiopia, which is the school her mother founded.
