We work with communities to implement service projects that improve the environment and transform lives.
Thriving ecosystems support people's health, create economic opportunities and help build peace.
Locally we work at:
Growing climate literacy in our classrooms — one kit at a time
We support The Gaia Project with funds for their Sustainability Literacy Kits Program. These kits go into Fredericton area elementary schools
Protecting and sustaining the Lincoln Wetland Natural Area — one work party at a time.
We partner with National Conservancy of Canada with ongoing site monitoring, trail maintenance, foliage trimming, mulch work, and bridge repairs
Protecting biodiversity at the Fredericton Botanic Garden – one work party at a time.
We are focused on removing the invasive multiflora rose from the Creekside Trail - a task that will take repeated efforts.
We also gave funds for the start up of the Food Forest at the Garden.
Cleaning-up of trails = healthier community
We proudly support the Fredericton Trails Coalition by adopting two trails on the North side.
We support Trails Day every year with a painting booth.
Thanking Partners and Friends of Rotary
We are grateful for community partners who are doing long-term, meaningful environmental stewardship and for Friends of Rotary who help us.
