Cst. Mike Bamford of the Fredericton Police Force gave us a presentation on fraud/scam trends.There are several schemes out there with the intent to cheat or swindle you out of cash. Anyone can be a victim and you should not be embarrassed. There are red flags such as the offer is too good to be true, a need to make a pressured decision, an email with a link to click or door to door sales without proper ID. Your best defense is knowledge! Don’t be afraid to say NO. Never give personal info…most trustworthy companies already have it.
